Read the store before you compare the group
LiftedPOS keeps a selected location visible in the working record. Review sales, product movement, inventory pressure, and staffing with that store context intact, then change the reporting question deliberately instead of treating every number as a universal on-hand total.
Send stock once. Receive it line by line
A transfer begins between two distinct active locations. Send rechecks stock and deducts the source lines together; receiving adds positive whole units to the destination one line at a time. The remaining quantity—not an assumed arrival—is the reconciliation point for the receiving operator.
Keep purchasing and transfers as different decisions
Use a supplier purchase order when stock is entering the business. Use a transfer when available stock is moving between active stores. Both touch inventory context, but they preserve different operational records, different cost decisions, and different receiving controls.
Share the tenant; keep operating context explicit
Employees, customer records, schedules, rewards, registers, and location-selected work can live in one merchant environment. A shared tenant does not remove the need to verify which store owns the sale, stock change, schedule, or exception before staff act.
Reconcile the destination before closing the loop
The transfer board preserves sent, received, and remaining quantities so the destination can work from the actual shipment. Use the operator checklist to inspect every line, record only positive whole units that arrived, and investigate damage, substitution, or shortage outside a guessed short-close.
Prove the transfer across two real store contexts
Select two active test locations, verify source quantity, send more than one line, and receive only part of the shipment. Confirm source deduction, destination increments, remaining quantities, and the operator record. Then compare that path with a supplier purchase order so staff can explain when stock is moving inside the business and when it is entering from outside.
