Catalog · product definition

Keep every sellable item exact—and let us help map the starting catalog.

Define the parent product, resolve exact sellable variants, and keep identifiers and images organized. For a supported flat product CSV, we help map the agreed fields through the assisted import path and validate the result before the same item identity moves into inventory and purchasing.

Operating thread

Define the family. Preserve every sellable identity.

The parent product organizes the assortment while each configured variant keeps the identifiers and stock context needed to operate.

Choose the product model before the sale.

Use a simple product when one sellable record is enough, or a configurable product when attributes must resolve into matrix variants. A configurable product supports up to three variant dimensions and 100 sellable combinations in the current LiftedPOS workflow.

Give each sellable variant an exact identity.

Variant-specific SKU, UPC, price, cost, and stock context keep size, color, style, or another configured dimension distinct. Categories, brands, product images, and image ordering remain attached to the catalog definition.

Bring the starting catalog into an assisted setup.

Bulk update and categorization tools help maintain existing records. LiftedPOS support can map agreed flat product CSV fields through the assisted import path and review the imported result with you. This is not a merchant-run upload, and the flat import does not build variant matrices or product galleries.

Carry the item into the operation.

The configured catalog feeds barcode checkout, on-hand inventory, reorder work, suppliers, purchase orders, and receiving. Weight-priced checkout applies only after the product is configured for weight pricing; it is not proof of self-service weight setup or an integrated scale.

Configuration and responsibility boundary

Catalog breadth still has explicit ceilings.

Configurable products support up to three variant dimensions and 100 sellable combinations. Supported flat product CSV work is support-assisted and may require mapping, validation, cleanup, and correction; it does not create variant matrices, product galleries, connectors, automatic cleanup, history, undo, or a guaranteed result. Weight pricing must be configured before weighted checkout can use it.

Bring one difficult product family to the demo.

Use the demo for product context, then confirm deployment-dependent behavior during a scoped rollout review.

  1. 01

Open Products in a seeded retail store and compare simple and configurable records.

  2. 02

Inspect identifiers, price and cost, category or brand, and product-image controls.

  3. 03

Bring a representative flat CSV to the implementation review and validate the agreed mapped fields and imported results with LiftedPOS support.

  4. 04

Move into Inventory and confirm that exact catalog identities carry into stock records.

Workflow FAQ

Plan the catalog your staff will actually maintain.

How many variant dimensions can a configurable product use?

LiftedPOS supports up to three variant dimensions and 100 sellable combinations for one configurable product.

Can a variant have its own SKU, UPC, price, and stock?

Yes. Sellable variants can retain variant-specific identifiers, pricing, cost, and inventory context beneath the parent product.

What does the CSV import cover?

LiftedPOS support can map agreed flat product CSV fields through the assisted import path and review the imported result with you. It is not a merchant-run upload, and it does not build variant matrices, product galleries, connectors, automatic cleanup, history, undo, or a guaranteed result.

Does weighted checkout configure the product or an integrated scale?

No. Weighted checkout applies to a product already configured for weight pricing. It does not establish self-service weight setup or integrated-scale support.

Public station terms

Know the price. Plan the way your team will use it.

Software is $100/month for the first station and $50/month for each additional station. A standard station is $499.99 to purchase or $39.99/month to lease. Cancel anytime with no long-term software contract. Leased equipment must be returned after cancellation or it is billed at the full purchase price. Payment terminals, processing, and separately scoped rollout work are separate from station pricing.
